Kochi, famous for its scenic backwaters and vibrant spice markets, pairs with Munnar’s rolling hills for an enriching edutour. Students will develop critical thinking, leadership, and self-reliance while learning adventure preparedness and strategic planning. They’ll volunteer at a tea estate, hike, build rafts, and interact with indigenous communities, exploring the unique landscapes and customs of the Western Ghats.

Program Details

Day 1
Set Foot in Munnar!

A breath of fresh air with the scent of tea, Munnar’s iconic tea estate will be Redwood’s home for the tour. Begin with a program briefing, ice-breakers and energizers.

Day 2
Team Games & Activities

A fun day of raft-building, kayaking, natural rock climbing, and treasure hunt to inculcate a deeper sense of planning, teamwork, and problem-solving. Immerse in Kerala folklore through amazing Kathakali and Kalaripayattu performances.

Day 3
Adventure Calling!

Level-up to indulge in the spirit of adventure at Redwood’s campsite where rope & tree adventure activities, zip-lining, target-shooting, and tree-jumaring — all await you! Enjoy the lip-smacking authentic local flavors with a rich feast of Kerala Sadhya.

Day 4
Communi-tea Interaction

Tread the narrow paths of the magnificent tea-gardens and learn from locals the stories behind growing and making tea. Participate in a one-day crash course in tea leaf picking, packing and transferring them to the local factory for further processing.

Day 5
Butterfly Forest & Conclusion

Be ready with your cameras and binoculars to capture a myriad of butterflies unique to Kerala at the Butterfly Forest with an expert naturalist. Compile and share your learnings and key takeaways with your peers as you conclude the Edutour with fond memories of God’s Own Country.
